The Little Singer school boys and girls basketball teams have both been a tremendous success in their respective leagues. Basketball IQ (BBIQ) and hopes that the this joint partnership with Sports Authority and the generosity of the fans of the game will support their ongoing needs. The young kids in this program all look forward to the opportunity to compete and represent their school as many other players do all across America. BBIQ is honored to be in a position to help this program in need.

Rumble in The Bronx

The Rumble in the Bronx’s name lives up to the hype. In the closing seconds of the girls Exodus and Gauchos AAU game, things got pretty heated. In fact, all out BOILING!! The two girl’s teams had a “fist to cuffs.” Not too sure if cuffs were involved, but fists definitely were. In one minute, a girl was dribbling down the floor and then the buzzer(s) went off. The first buzzer was to end the game and this same buzzer was also the bell for “it all to go down.” The scene was girls being punched by guys, girls hitting men, guys going after guys, girls being held back and people were all over the floor. It appeared as though players, parents, coaches and everybody and their mamas were in the melee. People were breaking up fights and as quick as a New York minute, thereafter another would start. The attached video is what is the last few minutes of the melee. Several minutes before Fordham University security arrived and more than 20 minutes before the New York Police Department were on the scene. I tell you, “Da’ Rumble in the Bronx” was a real “RUMBLE in the Bronx!!!”

The partnership between BBIQ and Sports Authority will help basketball programs access training supplies and materials needed to build players “Basketball IQ” and prepare them for the game of basketball. BBIQ is excited about this new endeavor and look forward to the many smiles that we can put on faces, happiness that fill hearts and the many players, teams and programs that will benefit from Project Reach!

Chance of a Lifetime

The chance of a life time to go to the Chicago versus Miami game and watch Miami win in overtime. Then go back stage and sit in the locker room while Noah was being interviewed. Finally, to sit and watch Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith re-cap the game. What would you do for an opportunity like this?

Little ballers need a work out too! Here is a small basketball court that was set up for a 4 year old boy. Rusty metal pole, plastic backboard and rim, but fully operational. Do you remember what your first court look like? The reality is, it doesn’t make a difference what your first one looked like. Rather, it the last one that you finish on is the one that matters! Get your ball on!

Is it possible for a few die hard fans to make soooo many amazing shots. Is this Real or Unreal? Imagine the odds or think about the number of takes or the splicing required to piece together all the amazing shots. There are these guys that “presents themselves as basketball shot marksmen.” It kinda reminds me of when” Jackass meets the basketball word.” You be the judge!

The rim is 9 feet off the ground. A tractor is the defender that this kid shoots over. And check this out, the telephone pole is not padded. The main obstacle is adjusting to the difference that the ball bounces on the grass and rocks. How does he find time with all the chores around the farm? Does he shoot free throws in between miking cows? Prior to rounding up the sheep, did he work on his post moves? How about this? After school is out, all the chores around the farm are complete and your homework is done, you go out and shoot 300 hundred jumpers…. on the right AND left side. Now, those are the habits of true baller!!!

This kid is “hot” and deserves some “Bragadosha.” Mad, mad skills and out of this world. Now, his choice is background music is also hot too! But his skills overshadows everyone’s handles. And to your delight, he gives the eye the candy it needs. Given his age, how many hours do you think it took him to get to this point? How many hours would it take you to do this?
